Having studied, worked, lived, and traveled all across the country, I can definitively say that the beautiful state of Virginia is one of my favorite places. And I’m fortunate to call this place home. Virginia has so much to offer, regardless of your passions, interests, and hobbies; there’s something for you in Virginia.
Many people know this state by its slogan, “Virginia Is for Lovers.” One of the reasons this catch phrase has endured the test of time is because it can be interpreted in many different ways and means something different to each person.
It would be difficult to list all the incredible things about living here, but these are my top 3 reasons why I love living in Virginia.
The People
One of the main reasons Virginia is such a great place to live is because of the people. There’s a variety of people from all walks of life, so you can always find someone who shares similar interests, or someone you can learn something new from. There are many successful and ambitious people, but they are also down to earth. They are just good people and I enjoy being around them.
The Location
As they say in real estate, location is everything. Virginia’s proximity to neighboring states, the mountains, and the beach allows for easy exploration; you’ll never lack for something to see or do. Within just a few hours’ drive, I can be in D.C., Richmond, Annapolis, NYC, North Carolina, the beach, and much more!
The Environment
That brings me to my last reason for why I love living here: Virginia has the ideal mix of both rural and urban environments. You can spend the afternoon at a countryside farm and the evening at a high-end restaurant downtown. Whether you love city or country life, you can have the best of both worlds here.
Known as “the birthplace of the nation,” Virginia is also rich with history. Home to the first English settlement and a slew of historic landmarks and Colonial-era sites, there truly is something here for everyone.
We’re Here to Serve You
There’s much more to love about Virginia than I could include in this brief article, but these reasons top the list! While I may be biased, I do know that every state has something unique and special that draws people to visit or live there. What’s your state’s slogan or “claim to fame”? If you live in Virginia, what are some of your favorite places or things to do? Feel free to reach out and let us know.
